Dette er Liván Eduardo

Livan Eduardo is a highly skilled dancer, instructor, and choreographer with a rich background in the performing arts, originally from Camagüey, Cuba. His passion for dance started at the age of 9, and by 13, he was already winning top prizes in provincial dance competitions. In 2000, he expanded his artistic horizons by working as an actor for four years before returning to his true love: music and dance. He studied at the Universidad Pedagógica in Camagüey, where he spent two years as a music teacher, and in 2003, he earned a diploma as a show producer.

His commitment to dance led him to the Universidad de las Artes in Havana, the most esteemed art institution in Central and South America, where he earned a degree in Afro-Cuban dance from 2007 to 2011. This education gave him a solid foundation in the cultural and technical aspects of Afro-Cuban dance. From 2003 to 2013, Livan worked as an instructor, choreographer, and dance teacher for the professional company "NCD" in Havana.

While studying, he worked as a dancer in different dance groups, such as the first dance company of the cuban national circus.

During this time, he also performed as a dancer at Cuba's most famous show, Tropicana Havana, and with Ballet de la TV Cubana, performing both nationally and internationally.

In 2013, Livan moved to Norway, where he continued his career as a jazz dancer and pedagogue at the Norwegian College of Dance (Norges Dansehøyskole). He became an influential figure in the dance community, teaching at various schools like Danseglede, C-Baila Dance School, and SalsaNor. In 2016, Livan founded his own school, Salsa-Casino, now Conexión Casino Academy where he developed a unique method to teach Cuban Salsa, enabling students to reach a high technical level in four years. He also played a major role in Norway's Latin dance scene, teaching at festivals such as Salsa Nordic and Caribbean Feeling and other festivals but all his attention and focus is on teaching and creating the best Casino dansers in Europe. Which is his goal.

Livan's extensive experience, passion, and commitment to Cuban culture continue to inspire and connect people through dance, making him a key figure in both Cuban and Norwegian dance communities.
